Wordless Wednesday: cat in a box

In bloom (aka still obsessed with my camera)

When I came home last night, I noticed the sun was doing some pretty cool things to the tree in front of my house. I immediately ran inside, yelled something lame to Jack like "THE TREE LOOKS SO COOL!", grabbed my Nikon, and started snapping away.

I'm still a tad rusty with manual mode -- I learned the basics four years ago during an artsy semester in Venice but it didn't all stick. That said, I'm pretty pleased with these photos. (Mainly because they actually came out.)

Just don't ask me what I did or to do it again!

Early spring

It's officially the first day of spring -- and boy does it feel nice!

Wall decor: photos and math

Jack and I worked SO hard on this DIY and I'm extremely pleased with how it turned out! It was more challenging than we anticipated -- it involved measuring and math and us journalism majors aren't all that great at math. But the end result is fantastic and definitely worth all the adding we had to do. And the best part is I can change the photos up every season!
