Hope you all have a lovely, fun, and safe holiday! Happy Fourth!

It's beginning to look a lot like ...

It was unseasonably warm this past Saturday but that didn't stop us from dusting off a few holiday decorations and putting up the Christmas tree. It was so nice to do before Jack's mom returned to Chicago, and although we're not quite done -- our tree topper didn't fit so we're searching for a new one -- our place already feels so festive. (Fingers crossed the animals don't ruin it ...)

{Before and after.}

{Naturally I wore a sequined hat for the occasion.}

{Some of our favorite ornaments.}

Lou immediately staked out his spot under the tree.
