It's pretty heartbreaking since Peggy is the happiest, most lovable, and most active dog in the world. She loves to run, play fetch, and wrestle with Little Greg, Lou, and all her toys.
But for the next 60 days all we can do is cuddle. I just have to keep reminding myself this this is temporary and in the grand scheme of her life (fingers crossed), it's only a few weeks. She'll be better just in time for the warm weather. And marathon training!
OMG you linked to my favorite CI post ever (Peggy Sue's letter to Human Dad) -- I swear I hear the "I don’t know what neighbors are so I KEPT RUNNING!" part in my head every single time Macy gets the zoomies. That post was the best!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Peggy Sue's treatment is going well! I'm sure she's just as happy to have cuddle time, and the 60 days will be up before you know it!
Hahaha I'm glad you like that post -- and the zoomies! I've never heard the term before but I'm picturing it perfectly in my head!
DeleteOh Peggy Sue! But I'm glad everything went well with her first round of treatment! I'm sure she's just as anxious to get back to playing as you are :)
ReplyDeleteYeah true that! She found her zebra yesterday and started to get a little too excited so I had to take it away. Then she looked at me with the saddest face. And then I cried.
DeleteOH NO THAT MAKES ME SO SAD!!!! When she's better, I'm getting her a present.
DeleteAww, I bet the days will go by before you know it. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope so! I know that once they're over I'll be like WOW that flew by but for now I"m like AHHH 60 days of no exercise -- this dog is going to be NUTZ!
